HOWEVER...what’s more important is a question that Jesus asked in JOHN chapter 3 to a man called Nicodemus who was a Jew and a member of the Jewish council. This man came to Jesus in the night the bible says, and asked Jesus...."Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God, for no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him. .....In reply, Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." To this statement Nicodemus was confused, he replied " How can a man be born again when he is old? surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born. ............LOOK AGAIN AT JOHN CHAPTER 14 VERSE 6 Jesus told them "I am the WAY the TRUTH and the Life NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME" Look back to John 3 verse 14 “Just as Moses lifted up the snake, so must the SON OF MAN BE LIFTED UP SO THAT EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE”. THERE MUST COME A TIME IN EACH PERSON’S LIFE WHEN THEY CHOOSE TO BE BORN AGAIN i.e. ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR OF THEIR LIVES AND NO OTHER!!! AN INDIVIDUAL MUST RECOGNIZE THAT THEY WERE BORN IN SIN AND THEREFORE IS SEPARATED FROM A HOLY GOD, REALIZING THIS, THEY ASK GOD'S FORGIVENESS and ASK JESUS CHRIST TO COME INTO THEIR HEART AND CREATE IN THEM A NEW PERSON. THAT'S WHAT BEING BORN AGAIN MEANS ...A NEW PERSON IN CHRIST. ONE OF COURSE CANNOT GO BACK INTO THEIR MOTHERS WOMB, BUT THIS REBIRTH IS A SPIRITUAL BIRTH NOT A PHYSICAL BIRTH. No one can do this for you, going to church regularly does not do it, singing in the choir, does not do it, being a good person and living a good life does not do it, giving to the poor and being kind to others does not do it. Going for confession daily can’t do it, God’ word says our righteousness are LIKE FILTHY RAGS. Isaiah 64 v 6; Eccl 7 v 20 and Rom 3 v 10. Please see (Ephesians 2 verse 8 & 9 “For by Grace are you saved through faith; and NOT of yourself, it is the gift of God, not of WORKS lest any man should boast” Nothing OR NO ONE ELSE can make us right with God. Some people are trying their best to LIVE as God would want, but we cannot put the cart before the horse, one must FIRST choose Gods requirement for salvation FIRST – JESUS CHRIST, then these other ways of living going to church, reading the bible, living a life of righteousness, giving, caring, loving is living unto God. IF WE TRY TO DO IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND THEN WE ARE ONLY LIVING TO GRATIFY OURSELVES. i.e. to feel good that we are doing a good thing. BUT REALLY HE (Jesus) HAS NO PART OF IT. WHAT GOD IS SAYING IS THAT IT IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO BE RIGHTEOUS WITHOUT CHRIST.!!! We cannot do it on our own strength.!!!
