THIS PEACE IS OBTAINABLE BY FAITH, IT DOESN’T JUST ACT BY ITSELF.

The peace of God is a literal demonstration of FAITH in an individual’s life. You set your mind on CHRIST and the peace that he promises—you look neither left nor right. Like anything else the FAITH that you exercise through the WORD of God will bring about the PEACE that God promises.

Call upon the name of the God of PEACE. Who is He? He is Jehovah Shalom. The God of Peace. When looking for the peace of God. Speak to God in that name… Jehovah Shalom. If you had a power outage in your house and there are a bunch of people in your house. Instead of calling for an ELECTRICIAN in the house, you call for the Plumber, but he can not respond, you call for the Carpenter, he can not respond, you call for the Painter, he can not respond. No call for the ELECTRICIAN ….that’s his job, he will get the power back on. The same goes for calling on Jehovah Shalom you are calling Almighty God by one of his names. He will respond, the name that identifies God in one of his mighty attributes, the name of the God of PEACE.

God’s peace is the empowerment of his very presence. The peace of God does not stay hidden, it radiates from the individual. This does not mean that the individual who is quiet and serene necessarily has the peace of God. That might be a serenity demonstrated in the person physical self, but has no part in the spirit. For example. some people do Yoga, or meditation. They “seem” to have a calmness, or what might LOOK like a quietness or peacefulness, until something stretches them. That’s NOT the Peace we are referring to. There are MANY COUNTERFEITS out there.

The TRUE PEACE OF GOD is sustaining even in the midst of the storm. Even when the whole house appears to be tumbling down. If meditation is involved with this peace it can only be MEDITATION ON THE WORD OF GOD, not on the physical positioning of the body or the emptying of the mind which Yoga or Transcendental Meditation requires.

God is perfect and peaceful in every way, the WORD of God brings this peace, because the WORD of God is God HIMSELF!!

When we meditate on the WORD of God, we allow the PEACE OF GOD to permeate our being. This PEACE has POWER within it, that power brought THROUGH THE WORD, becomes God’s indwelling presence upon us. It’s God’s Power that brings PEACE. So if we are seeking peace outside of the WORD of God, we soon come to realize that it is not God’s peace we will get but a counterfeit. If it’s a counterfeit, it cannot be coming from God, that means it must only be coming from the ENEMY. He is out to ROB us, to steal from us and to destroy us, so do you think he wants us to get the real stuff? No! he gives a counterfeit.

Have you ever heard folks say when they are troubled or sad, or things not going right they go to the mall and shop and treat themselves to some nice things, and that makes them calmer, feel happier, or feel peaceful or they get a high. That’s a counterfeit. Not long after that same shopping, the calmness that they had received from that counterfeit turns into PANIC!!! Why? Because it is translated into debt, leading to worry.

If that individual had seeked the Lord, would he have led him or her into DEBT for the solution of their situation? No! No! No! That is a counterfeit! If they had only taken up the WORD in that moment of turmoil and seeked the Lord, he would have given them something totally OPPOSITE from the debt which they later will have to repay.

What God gives us we NEVER have to PAY FOR? What Satan gives us we ALWAYS have to pay FOR. Shortly after the PLEASURE comes the PAIN.

With the PEACE OF GOD the pain is removed !!!
