The Image of Nebuchadnezzar

          In the second chapter of Daniel we see an image that King Nebuchadnezzar saw in a dream. In the dream the king saw five different materials that represented five great world empires as well. These empires all had one thing in common – THEY EACH PERSECUTED ISRAEL IN ONE FORM OR ANOTHER during their respective histories. Actually, there are EIGHT kingdoms that have persecuted or will persecute Israel in the future; five are mentioned in Daniel 2. (Egypt and Assyria were the two preceding world empires that persecuted the nation of Israel PRIOR to these listed in Daniel’s vision)

The Mede-Persian Empire – Fourth World Empire To Persecute Israel

        THE BELLY AND THIGHS OF BRASS

The Grecian Empire – Fifth World Empire to Persecute Israel

        THE LEGS OF IRON     

The Great Roman Empire – Sixth World Empire To Persecute Israel

        THE FEET AND TOES OF IRON AND CLAY

The Revised Roman Empire – Seventh World Empire To Persecute Israel (YET FUTURE)
